Wilma Zijlema
Wilma Zijlema
Wilma Zijlema (PhD) is a postdoctoral researcher at the Air Pollution and Urban Environment program of the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in Spain. She is an epidemiologist by training and is particularly interested in healthy living environments. Wilma obtained her Master’s degree in Health Sciences from the VU University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She was awarded her PhD from the Department of Epidemiology at the University Medical Center Groningen, in the Netherlands. Her doctoral research investigated adverse health effects of traffic-related noise and air pollution. Her current research focuses on the health benefits of green and blue spaces.
